In a slight change of what’s been a traditional Sunday procession since 1993, Anaconda High School will send 61 students into the world Friday, June 2 at 6 p.m. at historic Memorial Gymnasium. The 125th Commencement of AHS will be broadcast live at 6 p.m. on KANA 580 AM, kana580.com and by downloading the live streaming app on the Apple or Google Play app stores.
Live coverage is made possible thanks to our exclusive sponsors Dahood Law Firm, Georgetown Sound, AWARE Inc. and KANA 580 AM.
Anaconda’s Top 5 students are Michaela Cortright, Macy Fitzgerald, Michael Hessler, Kyra Moreni and Hailey Rasmussen. Led by these students and so many others, the graduating class earned $292,225 in scholarships.
The Commencement will feature performances from the Senior High Band and Orchestra under the direction of Spencer Fehr and Kim Lorengo, and the Choraleers led by Mrs. Lorengo.
Cortright, the senior class president, will introduce current AHS education Mrs. Erin Senst as the commencement speaker, an educator who has spent seven of her 10 years here in Anaconda.
Following the address, Superintendent Dr. Gerry Nolan, principal Shawn Hansen and board of trustees chair Bryan Lorengo will present diplomas to the students.
Following the broadcast, a copy of the production can be obtained by sending an E-mail to email@example.com or by calling the KANA 580 studios at 563-7119.
