This past weekend, 159 teams played in Men’s, Women’s and for the first time ever Co-Ed divisions in the 43rd annual Goosetown/Bud Light slow pitch softball tournament in Anaconda.

Although Sunday’s inclement weather that plagued the entire state of Montana led to cancelling the end of the tournament for what tournament director Bill Hill said, “The first time ever,” coin flips and undefeated teams going into the start of the cancellations determined the winners in each bracket.

With Charlotte Yeoman Martin Sports Complex, one of Montana’s finest softball facilities, almost completely submerged in water from the heavy, unrelenting showers that started about 2 a.m. Sunday morning, completing the tournament was out of the question.

Still, Thursday, Friday and Saturday provided enough action for Hill to feel as comfortable as possible in capping the tournament like he did.

Friday’s Women’s Home Run Derby champion was Holly Krzan playing with Pounders from Kennewick, Wash, while Saturday’s Men’s Derby winner was Garrett Jackson of Dakota Bus from Gillette, Wyo.

Below are the winners and All-Tournament teams as announced by Hill Tuesday afternoon including some photos from games over the weekend.
