Starting next week, KANA will be even easier to listen to thanks to applications available on Google Play and Apple app stores.

KANA 580 AM will offer the free apps to stream original content aired by the station. KANA added the additional listening portal due to some listeners having difficulty linking a variety of tablets and smart phones to the online platform offered at kana580.com.

“We want to make accessing our local content as easy as possible for our listeners,” said Pat Noonan, director of media and community relations for AWARE Inc., KANA’s parent company. “It’s our listeners that make our station great, and it’s our goal to make KANA available to as many of them as possible.”

The main focus of the added applications is for listeners who like to follow Copperhead athletics and weekly shows such as America Outdoors Radio and Northwestern Outdoors Radio aired Friday’s starting at 11 a.m. MST.

The app on GooglePlay may already be available, but the developer said it typically takes 24 hours to access the content. The Apple store should be available for download by the middle of next week.

Searching for the app is easy, just type in “KANA 580” into the search bar, download and install.

KANA will still stream regularly on kana580.com.
